Home Health Aide (HHA) provides non-medical, in-home support to clients by assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility, light housekeeping, and companionship. This role is essential in helping clients remain safe and comfortable in their own homes.
Requirements:
-Minimum 1 year of experience as a Home Health Aide or similar caregiving role
-Ability to perform ADL tasks, including incontinence care and physical transfers
-Reliable transportation
-CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
-Negative PPD result with the last year OR Clear Chest X-Ray within the last 5 years
-Health Physical or work release from physician within the last 2 years
-Social Security Card (or other acceptable document to establish Employment Authorization)
-State ID (or other acceptable document to establish identity)
-Must pass a drug screening
-Must have a clear background (no disqualifying criminal history such as convictions for violence, theft, or abuse)
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work independently
-Ability to understand and follow care plans
Responsibilities:
-Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care
-Support with mobility and transfers, including the use of assistive devices
-Provide companionship and emotional support
-Prepare light meals and assist with feeding when needed
-Perform light housekeeping and help maintain a safe home environment
-Remind clients to take medications as directed
-Monitor and report changes in health or behavior to supervisors
-Maintain accurate documentation of services provided
