Trustworthy Staffing Solutions, LLC is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide nursing services at Spring Grove Hospital Center. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct nursing care and support to patients in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and in accordance with the facility’s policies, procedures, physician orders, and applicable Maryland nursing regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, emotional maturity, and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with psychiatric, behavioral health, and medical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and within the LPN scope of practice.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, behaviors, responses to treatment, and changes in health status. /li>
- Obtain and record vital signs and other clinical observations.
- Assist with patient assessments and promptly report significant changes or concerns to the RN and appropriate clinical staff.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete nursing documentation.
- Follow individualized treatment plans and physician orders.
- Support a safe, therapeutic, and respectful patient care environment.
- Use effective communication and de-escalation techniques when working with patients experiencing behavioral or emotional distress.
- Recognize and promptly report changes in patient behavior, medical condition, or potential safety concerns.
- Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Follow all facility policies regarding safety, security, infection prevention, confidentiality, and patient rights.
- Complete all required orientation, competency validation, and mandatory training.
- Perform other nursing-related duties within the scope of the LPN position as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Maryland Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. /li>
- Valid Driver's License
- Current CPR Certification
- Current Immunization Records
- Current Health Physical Examination
- Previous experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, mental health, correctional, residential treatment, hospital, or acute care settings is preferred.
- Strong communication, observation, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral challenges
