Trustworthy Staffing Solutions is recruiting non-therapeutic aides to work in Baltimore City Schools for the new school year. The Therapeutic and Non-Therapeutic Aide helps students to stay focused on academic tasks as well as transitioning, toileting and changing when appropriate.

Responsibilities include providing personal care, facilitating social integration, and ensuring health and safety. The role involves helping with clothing, snack routines, toileting, and transportation needs as a bus aide. You will collaborate with staff, maintain professionalism, assist teachers with classroom management, monitor and redirect student behavior, and aid in assessments and standardized testing. Additional duties include distributing supplies, supervising student movement, assisting with cleanup, facilitating transitions, engaging in professional development, and maintaining communication with teachers. Physical capability to restrain and lift students is required.

Requirements may include, but not limited to:
• Must be physically able to restrain students, when appropriate, in compliance with accepted district or school procedures. Must be physically able to lift, or assist in lifting, non-ambulatory students.

• Must be 18 years old and have at least a minimum of high school diploma or GED.

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand Standard English and carry out directions and instructions by the student’s teacher and/or principal.

• Must be willing and prepared to be fingerprinted.

• Must demonstrate emotional and mental maturity as well as display an interest in working with, and a sympathetic attitude toward, disabled children.

• Must attend and successfully complete a minimum of twenty (40) hours of training provided by agency, including behavior management strategies and classroom procedures.
